System Requirements

Please note the hardware and software specifications described below when planning a project based on the Cayuga VMS. The server requirements for BVI may differ from those for Cayuga. For further information as well as additional recommdations concerning efficient hardware can be found in our “system requirements” sheet (PDF) in the flyout element on the right side of the page. All specifications apply for the current release of Cayuga.

Hardware recommended:

  • CPU: Intel® Core i5-8600K @ 3.60 GHz or Intel Xeon E3-1275 v6 @ 3.80 GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • HDD: 50 GB free disk space @ 7200 RPM or SSD
  • Network: Ethernet with 1000 MBit/s
  • Graphics Adapter: At least 4GB DDR5 RAM, memory bandwidth at least 100 GB/sec.

Recommended display resolution:

1920 x 1080 or higher
